Olivia is now 14 months old! She has grown and grown and grown! Since her 1st birhtday, Livie is saying many more words. Besides Mama, Dada and ball, Olivia now says cheese, shoes, keys, please, bug, bee, Nana, Mimi, bye-bye, fish, hot and hi. She LOVES to say uh-oh too! I catch her singing along with music all of the time. She has a sweet little voice.
Everyone is always asking if Livie is walking. The answer is-- she knows how to walk but she refuses to walk. Livie is a good little walker if she is holding on to something. She can walk all day long holding on to my finger. She is just lacking confidence in her ability to do it by herself. If Daniel or I let go of her hand without her realizing it, she will walk a few steps all by herself and then sit down. She has walked up to four steps by herself before!
She has such great fine motor skills and is so smart! Before bed we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (an alphabet book) often and Livie has learned the letter "O!" If I ask her to point out the "O" for Olivia on an alphabet chart, she can do it every time! Now as for other letters, not so much, but we are working on it!
One of Liv's favorite things to do is go swimming! She loves the community pool, splash pads, sprinklers and baby pools...basically she loves all water. She even took her first set of swim lessons. She is a great little kicker in the water. Her other favorite thing to do is watch her Baby Einstein movies. Lately, Olivia has been signing "movie" constantly.
For our big summer vacation, we took a road tip to Spokane! We were able to do so many fun things with the fam, including going to Coeur d'Alene lake, Silverwood and Bayview, ID. Livie got to take her very first boat ride too! It was a wonderful time. Here are a few pics of our adventure:
