Months 16 and 17!

16 Months

17 Months
Little Liv is 17 months, not so little anymore I guess! I know I probably say this every month, but Olivia is such a smart little girl! These past two months she has taken in so much information and it really shows. Liv can follow almost all of the directions that I give to her. She really understands what is being said to her. For example, she will put items in the trash when I ask her to (and pull something else out :)) and when I have asked her to find a specific book to bring to me she usually can bring the exact one I ask for. She is also recognizing and remembering people and what their names are much more than ever before.

Livie's letter recognition includes 3 more letters ("s" for snake, "e" for elephant and "d" for Dada). She is also now enjoying coloring and writing with crayons, pencils, pens or whatever she can get. She loves using her finger to draw in shaving cream or paint as well. It's cute....many times when she draws some scribbles she says "Nana" because in her mind she wrote N for Nana haha! She is definitely making connections between spoken and written language.
Lately Olivia has been saying so many new words as well! It has been a sort of surge in the last few weeks. It began while we were in Spokane visiting family, Livie began learning everyones names and repeating them. She loved saying Annie, Abby, Mimi, Papa, Gigi and B for Auntie Becci! Since we have been home she has began saying movie (oovie), cookie, door (or), poo poo, pee pee, out (ow), on, off, high (I), toy (oy) and many more.

As she has grown, Liv has become obsessed with bubbles! She asks for them everyday, multiple times a day. She has also began loving the song and motions to the song, "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" (asking for that all of the time too). And her favorite activity with Daddy is taking horsy rides on his back!
"Bubbles?"
As we went to a few pumpkin patches this fall in Salt Lake and Spokane, Liv loved picking out pumpkins and taking her first pony ride! She LOVES fall and all of the fun activities we have been able to experience the last few months! She especially enjoyed dressing up as a zebra for Halloween! I couldn't even take off her hood to do her hair after I got her dressed because she liked her costume so much!

Trick or Treating at Dad's work!
Games and activities at our church party!
This month Liv was able to experience her first election! She even came with Momma to vote! As I filled out my ballot she ripped apart my wallet to keep herself entertained.  I guess she was not as enthused as I was haha!
