Making Progress

Our weekly doctors appointment went well today! We got to see Baby Girl in an ultrasound. She opened and closed her little hand while we were watching! It was cute. My midwife had a hard time finding her heartbeat and when she did it was very high up on my abdomen and was faint, so she did an ultrasound to make sure baby was still head down and to look at her heartbeat. Good news...she is still head down and the heartbeat looked good! She also saw that my amniotic fluid levels are great and still very high. In fact, she said when my water breaks I may experience a big gush of fluid haha! I hope I am not out in public if that happens!

We also had an exam and found that I have progressed and dilated from 1 centimeter last week to pretty close to 3 centimeters this week! I am still 50% effaced though. She thinks that Baby Girl will be here in the next 2 weeks! Woohoo! We are ready for her! The only things I need to do in the next two weeks are laundry and cleaning. I am looking forward to relaxing and getting things done while I am off work for awhile.
